Put out Hate
As part of National RJ Week 2019, Ann-Marie joined us at the ‘Put Out Hate’ event, hosted by the Cleveland Fire Brigade and Hart Gables.
As partners we met to raise awareness around hate crime, to encourage greater reporting and to identify the ways in which we could work together to address hate crime and support those affected by this.
Restorative Cleveland were invited as guest speakers, alongside the Victim Care & Advice Service, to promote available support for victims of hate crime.
During National RJ Week, we joined Stagecoach and the Cleveland Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner in Showing Racism the Red Card.
At the event Stagecoach launched 80 new buses, all of which display coving promoting a message of safety for all those using public transport.
Demonstrating a community-focused approach, the coving includes details of how to report any incidents of unacceptable behsviour to the police, alongside the service logos for the victim services available to support them.
